	Spies in the Movies - M The Mackintosh Man (1973) Paul Newman, Dominque Sanda, James Mason Directed by John Huston from the Desmond Bagley novel Thriller about cold-war espionage -- the kind of plot that was quite popular in the '60s when spies were busy coming in from the cold. Not only is the plot outdated but the excellent supporting actors have been given lightweight roles badly cast. Miss Sanda's French accent belies her portrayal of a young Englishwoman.
